As we’re sure you know, our region's residential rental inventory has traditionally been fragmented across multiple sources. For example, CHS Regional MLS rental inventory has historically maintained (on average) around 500 rental listings. In this competitive market, we know that’s not enough.
We're pleased to announce that on April 24th, CHS MLS is launching a new partnership with Rental Beast - a leading industry partner who works to enhance the rentals dataset. As we work behind the scenes on the integration, CHS MLS staff is already seeing thousands of new rental properties in our region that will soon be searchable for MLS members!
Through this partnership, we aim to transform CHS MLS into your comprehensive rental resource, streamlining your ability to serve rental clients while creating a natural pathway for converting renters into future homebuyers.
Rental Beast will be integrated onto your MLS Launchpad and provide core MLS functions designed specifically to manage rentals, as well:
1. Rental Search: With access to thousands of rentals, including those not found on the MLS, find the perfect match using a powerful search engine with advanced features. There is even an Apply Now feature, if you need it. 2. MyRentals Page: A custom-branded rentals webpage to showcase rentals and generate leads.
3. Rental Beast University: Courses to learn how to convert renters into homebuyers, how to generate leads, and more!
4.Rental CMA: the Rental Beast CMA tool brings a brand new option to your toolset, with proper focus on important rental options that are not present in other CMA tools built for the residential sale category.

How can I learn how to use the Rental Beast platform?

Do I have to pay extra to see Rental Beast properties?
No, your subscription to CHS Regional MLS covers the access to Rental Beast Pro.
How do I access the new rental property data?
From your MLS Launchpad, click on the Rental Beast icon. Our Launchpad works with Single-Sign-On (SSO) technology, so the Rental Beast system should already recognize you as a member and you will not need to sign in separately to Rental Beast. You'll select "Search" on the Rental Beast homepage and you'll have access to the full "Pro" dataset and tools.
What if I want to view ONLY the MLS rental listings?
You can still view the MLS-only rental listings in Flexmls as you always have. You can also view them separately from the Rental Beast properties by viewing only the “MLS” tab on the Rental Beast search page.
Where are the other rental properties coming from?
Rental Beast sources rental properties from outside of the MLS in order to compile them all in one place for CHS MLS users. Rentals on the Rental Beast tab come from:
Various software platforms and websites with whom Rental Beast partners. These will filter in automatically and update as the other systems are updated. They will not show the Rental Beast icon.
Properties that have been verified as available directly by Rental Beast staff. Their staff continues to update and if they can't verify updates promptly, it is removed. These will show a Rental Beast icon next to the address.
Can I search the Rental Beast website without a CHS MLS membership?
No. You can see a preview of sorts on their website, but you will not see the data (nor have the tools) available to CHS MLS members.
